The CEIP La Concepción is a State Infant and Primary School under the jurisdiction of the Consejería de Educación, Formación y Empleo of the Autonomous Community in the Region of Murcia.
The school was named after Barrio de La Concepción, the homonym for the district to which this school has belonged for over twenty years The school is also commonly known as La Loma School. This popular denomination is due to the location of the centre, which was built between 1969 and 1971 on the same plot where the former Spanish Second Republic schools were built, that is La Loma site. This spot is located on Mount Picacho hillside, which is also known as Pico del Aguila.
